Mouez Hassen has been linked with several French clubs after his season long loan at Southampton expires.
Hassen joined the club in the summer of 2016, along with manager Claude Puel. The French goalkeeper knew Puel from his time at OGC Nice and when Puel got fired we didn’t expect Hassen to return either.
Mouez Hassen didn’t really get a chance at Southampton as Puel kept faith with Fraser Forster. The fans were calling for Hassen to get his chance but Puel was too stubborn and Forster started every single league game for us.
As Mauricio Pellegrino has now come in, the fans were unsure of Hassen’s future and whether we would sign him back. This news that several French clubs are after him, all but confirms he won’t be returning to St Mary’s next season.
